Rigor is creating an environment in which each student is expected to learn at high levels, each student is supported so he or she can learn at high levels, and each student demonstrates learning at high levels (Blackburn, 2008).

New Beginnings
As some of you are starting (or thinking of) starting the school year, I'd like to remind you of something:
Beginnings cost you nothing. Beginnings are full of potential. Beginnings happen every year. How will you begin the year?
